Who: Susie and Jake When: Afternoon Where: Medical Pavilion What: Susie's first day volunteering.
Susie had been so excited with her first day so far. She had become in turns all of the following: bubbly, serious, studious, and bubbly again. There were few things in the world she wanted as badly as to help people.
By this time, she had a pretty good grasp on where the basic, first-aid supplies were. After all, she had spent plenty of time here as a patient. And she had been curious then too.
It left her capable enough to provide some preliminary assistance to the man who came in just when the Pavilion had reached its busiest part of the day. He had been given a room, but it would be another minute before a doctor would become available. Susie came in to see what she could do to help. If nothing else, she could fetch a doctor if it was an emergency.

Who: Ralph & Open When: Afternoon Where: Ancient Elven Palace What: Ralph explores the deader places of Elysium AKA who wants the creepy necromancer?
Ralph traced a finger over the edge of chest. Dust came off of the metal frame, stuck to the tip. He inspected it, flicked it away. He stood up again. He wondered what was inside. Maybe dusty old clothes from a few thousand years ago or rotten papers. Ralph doubted anything of value laid inside. If it did he’d take it. No questions asked. Letting go of inhibitions became easier as of late.
He kicked the chest. It barely shook. Something was inside of it. Ralph crouched down and looked for a lock. It didn’t have a padlock. A lonely keyhole sat in the middle of the framework. Ralph chewed the inside of his cheek. It wouldn’t be hard to open. He got up and searched the room for a crowbar. What were the chances they’d have one up here?
After he tore up one more bundled heavy sheet of velvet from the floor he gave up. Nothing was here for prying open chests. Ralph snorted, swatted the dust away from his face. Why did I come here today? Ralph thought. “Oh right,” he said out loud. “I’m being adventurous.”
Adventurous away from people. Quieter, deader places of the world appealed to him. Like the mausoleum, the palace was far away from town. People didn’t come here often. Ralph turned around. He didn’t expect a guest standing in the doorway.
“Well hello,” deadpanned Ralph. He raised his arms. “Find anything interesting?”

Who: Elliot, Nico & Zach When: Midday Where: The Café What: Boys will be boys
Today was the day for the boys to hang out. Elliot didn’t know Zach and Nico for long. In fact they were talking about video games when they distracted Elliot from work. He took his lunch break and sat down with them. They were cool guys as far as he could see. They shared a few laughs over the campiness of the Final Fantasy series, admitted to playing Dead or Alive for the realistic boob bouncing and praised World of Warcraft for its ability to addict for days on end. Oh, lets not forget the multiple hack and slash masterpieces.
Yeah, Elliot could see himself being friends with these guys.
“Quick!” exclaimed Elliot. “Without pausing, name the best action flick you’ve ever since the age of nine? Just go with it. Don’t think about it!”
He wasn’t giving them a single second to ask why he picked nine. Elliot didn’t even know that. He was flying by the seat of his britches. They covered video games, sports and movies. The only thing left was babes and the guy talk was complete.
Women was bound to be the longest topic. Good thing they saved it for last.

Who: Adrienne and Jason [Narrative] When: Afternoon Where: Adrienne's cottage What: Adrienne ventures outside for the first time since she was rescued.
She could feel the full moon tugging at her, pulling at her from deep inside. It was like an itch she couldn't scratch, and the only way to get rid of it was to burn off the feral energy that raged inside of her. In truth Adrienne didn't want to leave her house, and she struggled with the decision for a few hours before she finally did leave.
"Are you sure you don't want any company," Jason asked her just as she was slipping into her shoes. Adrienne smiled at him, and knelt down to tie her shoes.
"I'll be fine," she answered with as much energy as she could muster. She couldn't lie to herself; she knew she was a little on the jumpy side, and she looked a little more frail than usual. She could, however, lie to those people around her if only to make them feel better. "Jase, I swear, I'm fine. Really." She tied her shoelace tight, and stood to her feet to face her brother. She didn't like lying to her family, but they had been wrought with worry ever since she was taken that she couldn't burden them with any more.
( You're not fine. I can tell. )
